Dog Park Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Yap Land Dog Park, where responsible dog ownership meets a world of canine excitement.

Before embarking on your Yap Land adventure, take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Terms & Conditions.

1.1 Bookings are made via our website: pawenlawen.co.uk. The service cost is displayed when you make your booking. Once you have made your booking, you will receive an email confirmation before the second email with the gate code that is sent an hour before your booking (please check your spam / junk folder), a copy of these Terms and Conditions, and any other important information. Do not share the gate code with others, this is for your use only.
1.2 If you arrive late, the booking cannot be extended as the dog park is hired out at hourly intervals for 50 minutes. Late arrivals will be restricted to their booking times.
1.3 Cancellation Policy – we are unable to refund cancelled bookings as there are payment charges incurred and those spaces may not be filled at short notice. You are however able to amend your booking if you e-mail us with a minimum of 24hrs notice. We can then send you a booking code to use within a month or we can move your slot.
1.4 Bookings are non-transferable. The person making the booking must be present and must ensure that anyone else attending is made aware of and adheres to the Terms & Conditions.

3.1 No more than 6 dogs per adult (aged 18+). The number of dogs permitted must be in line with your booking and must not exceed the maximum number of 8 dogs.
3.2 Dogs showing any signs of illness in the last 24hrs should not be brought to the park. We also recommend that dogs using the park are vaccinated.
3.3 On your first visit, take the time to inspect the park (field) to ensure that it is suitable for use by you and your dog/s - fence, ground condition, activities available, proximity to wildlife, farm animals etc.
- The fence is 5.5ft around the parameter.
3.4 Please use the bins provided to dispose of your dog waste, you must pick up after your dog/s. These bins are for dog waste only; please ensure you take all other rubbish home with you.
3.5 Pawen Lawen – Yap Land will inspect the field and fencing daily to maintain security but please notify us if you have any concerns.
3.6 During wet weather the park will be muddy and waterproof boots/wellies will most likely be required. Your dog/s will also most likely get dirty. There is a shelter.
3.7 Do not allow your dog/s to dig holes excessively in the park (unless they are in the sandpit) as this can be dangerous to other park users. Please notify Pawen Lawen – Yap Land if you see a hole so that it can be filled in.
3.8 Children and young people under 18yrs are welcome in the park but must be supervised by an adult at all times. Please don't allow them to walk or climb on the dog walk.

2.1 There is a car park (with hardstanding) onsite for up to two cars per visit. Customers arriving in a car must park onsite in the designated car parking areas.
2.2 If you choose to park on our site, then you do so at your own risk. Pawen Lawen – Yap Land accept no responsibility for any loss/damages.
2.3 Please be respectful of other people using the dog park when parking. We ask that you are mindful of other timeslots and are aware that people may arrive on foot.
2.4 A 5mph speed limit is in place as soon as you arrive onsite/ in the carpark to ensure dogs and pedestrian safety.

4.1 Choke chains, prong collars and electronic devices are not allowed, whilst any harsh handling of dogs will not be tolerated. Please be kind to your dog/s.
4.2 To maintain the professional integrity of Pawen Lawen – Yap Land, dog trainers working with their clients will only be allowed by prior arrangement and will be asked to provide proof of insurance. If you are a dog trainer wanting to use the park with a client and their dog/s, please contact us in advance before making a booking.

5.1 If you require a member of the Yap Land team to be onsite to meet you on your first visit, please specify in the comment section during the booking process. Otherwise, your visit will be self-serve with no staff present.
5.2 Please ensure that you have read the Terms & Conditions before arriving. If you have booked the park and are meeting friends/family members, ensure that they are also familiar with the Terms & Conditions.
5.3 Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before the start of your session, early arrivals can be disruptive to those using the park.
5.4 Please keep your dog/s in the vehicle or on-lead in the carpark and away from the entrance until the previous visitors have left the park.
5.5 Do not enter the dog park before your allocated time and keep your dog/s on lead until you are in the park.
5.6 Leave the dog park promptly so that you are vacating the park at the end of your 50-minute session time.
5.7 If you cannot catch your dog/s at the end of your session notify Pawen Lawen – Yap Land as soon as possible. Any additional session time used must be paid for by the hour if the following slot is booked, as other customers will need to be refunded for the time lost. If the following slot is not booked, there will not be an additional charge on the first occasion, but charges will likely incur if it happens again.
5.8 Please lock both the park gate and entrance gate when you leave.

6.1 In keeping with the law regarding ‘responsible dog ownership’, you are entirely responsible for your dog/s’ safety and actions whilst at the dog park.
6.2 You must inspect the park to ensure that it is suitable for you and your dog/s; if you have any concerns that the park, grounds, fencing or activities may not be suitable for you or your dog/s, do not use the park. The park is a natural environment and therefore presents hazards and risks – it is not flat and has natural undulations.
6.3 Pawen Lawen – Yap Land cannot be held responsible and will not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury whether to property, person/s or dog/s sustained at the park. You agree to use the dog park (including the carpark) at your own risk.
6.4 The park is for private use. If you use the park for any business purposes, we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or loss of business opportunity.
6.5 Whilst the park is surrounded by a high fence and steps have been taken to secure and monitor it, we can not guarantee it is escape-proof nor can we guarantee that there will be no other wildlife in the park.
6.6 When you make your booking, all bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions. By booking you are agreeing with these Terms & Conditions.

8.1. XL Bullies (and banned breeds) are welcome at Yap Land but must comply with ALL
current legislation. It must also be declared on the booking form.
8.2. XL Bullies (and banned breeds) must be muzzled and kept on a lead in the carpark,
and their owners must lock both the entrance and carpark gates behind them before
letting their dog off lead in the park.
8.3 Any booking/visits must be for the household’s sole use, - there will be no mixing of
dogs or people outside the household if you are visiting with an XL Bully (or any banned
breed).
